1:45 PM: The Atlanta Braves are being sued by the family of a young girl who was hit in the head by a foul ball at a 2010 game. The family claims the girl suffered a fractured skull & brain injuries.
1:30 PM: Brooklyn Nets player Brook Lopez on trade rumors published in the media: "I don't read what you guys write. I read a lot of comic books and they don't mention Dwight Howard."
1:15 PM: A couple of Washington Nationals players sent Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen a Bryce Harper-signed bat covered in pine tar: "They put the rest: 'To my hero, Ozzie. Love you. I thought it was funny."
1:00 PM: Arkansas football coach John L. Smith when asked if he wants to be back with the Razorbacks after this season: "Well, certainly. Do I look stupid?"
12:45 PM: After the Washington Wizards used their amnesty clause on him, Andray Blatche said in an interview with CSN: "For the fans that was booing me, I want to tell them I apologize for the effort, I guess, I gave out there that wasn't enough."
12:30 PM: Miami Hurricanes safety Ray-Ray Armstrong has been dismissed from the team but will be allowed to remain on scholarship at the school. Armstrong was suspended for four games last season after accepting gifts from Miami booster Nevin Shapiro.
12:15 PM: Former Miami Dolphins player Jason Taylor is being sued by an investment broker for $1 million on claims of damaging his reputation. Last year Taylor sued broker Eric Kim for scamming him out of $275,000.
12:00 PM: StateCollege.com reports former Penn State president Graham Spanier has dropped his lawsuit against the school in trying to obtain his old emails regarding the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
11:45 AM: The Detroit Free Press reports a bomb threat was called in to Comerica Park before Tuesday's Tigers-Angels game. Bomb threats were also made on the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel & Ambassador Bridge within the past week.
